One of the great things about this business is rubbing shoulders with talented design professionals. Theirs is a delicate job; creating beautiful spaces, managing client expectations, and honoring the emotion of a very personal & collaborative process.

Designer Matthew Leverone came to San Francisco from New York 15 years ago after working with the venerable Architecture & Design firm Mancini-Duffy, Walker Group CNI, and Macy’s Corp. in-house design team.
Matthew’s work is uniquely client-driven, adjusting his deep breadth of knowledge to each space; from traditional & classic to modern & texture-driven…and everything in between. His current projects include homes in Palo Alto, Portola Valley, and San Francisco.

Matthew is also developing a name for himself in the custom furniture world. This began as a way to fill a need in a project, whether it be scale or texture, and has become his passion. Matthew has participated in two San Francisco Decorator Showcase homes and he was recently featured in San Francisco Magazine. When asked what style he likes best, he replied, “I get really excited about the modern aesthetic, but I don’t want to be pigeon-holed as a modern designer… I love classic architecture that is done well”.

Design is interpretation. And on that note, I asked Matthew which local architects he especially admires. Among them are Warner-Walker, Aidlin- Darling, and Kuth-Raneri. Some of our favorites, as well.
