We had a nice lunchtime chat this afternoon with Jason Langkammerer, firm principal of At-Six Architecture in San Francisco. Jason was raised by an architect in Berkeley, so it’s in his DNA. We had lots to talk about.

Jason’s had his fair share of press over the past few years including California Home + Design’s 2008 ‘Ten to Watch’ list of up-and-coming architects, publication in the San Francisco Chronicle, and placing first in a competition for a disabled access retrofit of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House museum. He was also recently mention on the blog Tablehopper and Foodie 411 in the context of an upcoming restaurant project. Jason has extensive experience in getting things built – from the permitting process to an understanding of the details of construction.

Jason is also a  licensed contractor which adds an immense (and rare) value to his skill set.  He has  design/build experience and has been a successful developer of residential projects, all of which  enhance his proficiency in building design. Jason earned a Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, sits on the SF Department of Building Inspection Board of Examiners and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and U.S. Green Building Council.
